Gettysburg Address

Today is the 19th of November, which is the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. I built some robots a while back and one of them is based loosely on Abraham Lincoln. The robot is called Lincoln. I didn’t get him painted at the time of release and its one of those projects I just put off and put off. I was inspired recently to get him painted. Then I went and checked out the Gettysburg Address, as I had never actually read it fully. Wow, what a speech! It is so relevant, especially today. To quote “Freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” I mean, I know our modern politicians should probably bare this in mind a bit more! Its worth reading the address if you are not familiar with it.

The 19th century really spawned some forward thinkers. The Bandlerians of Nuclear Renaissance are inspired by the spirit of enlightenment and equality shared by many from the time period. And of course inspired by their cool clothes and styles! In the image below you can see Lincoln with Isembard Kickass Brunel and the ladies of the Bandlerd Finishing School for Girls. Lincoln is quite a large fellow!
